By accessing or using the AAISN website (aaisn.org) and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this website. AAISN reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Notify AAISN immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not share your account credentials with others

Sessions expire after 24 hours. You are responsible for logging out on shared devices.

AAISN reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that appear to be fraudulent.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this website to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Submit patient-identifying or protected health information through general website forms
  • Interfere with or disrupt the website or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit website content without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity

4. Membership

Membership tiers and benefits are described on the Membership page and are subject to change. Membership eligibility requires appropriate medical or professional credentials as determined by AAISN. AAISN reserves the right to verify credentials and to accept or decline membership applications.

Cancellation is permitted at any time; benefits remain active through the current billing period.

Membership subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will receive a renewal reminder at least 30 days before your renewal date. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting info@aaisn.org. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. In accordance with Washington State law (RCW 19.350), this constitutes your notice that your membership will automatically renew.

5. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. AAISN does not store credit card information. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

6. Video Content

Video content is provided for educational purposes only. You may not download, redistribute, or commercially use video content without written permission from AAISN. Videos are streamed via our content delivery partner and may be subject to geographic availability.

7. Admin Access

Authorized administrators may access the AAISN admin dashboard to manage site content. Admin access is granted at the sole discretion of AAISN leadership. Administrators are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for all actions taken under their account.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the text, graphics, branding, layout, and educational materials on this website are owned by or used with permission by AAISN and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, or commercially used without permission, except as allowed by law.

Third-party names, trademarks, logos, product names, and company names remain the property of their respective owners.

Members may access content for personal educational use only. Any other use requires prior written permission from AAISN.

9. User-Submitted Content

By submitting content to AAISN (including case materials, comments, or other materials), you grant AAISN a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the materials for educational and organizational purposes.

You represent that you have the legal authority to submit the content, that it does not infringe any third-party rights, and that it complies with applicable laws. You agree to indemnify and hold AAISN harmless from any claims arising from your submissions.

For clinical case submissions specifically, see the Case Submission Policy.

10. CME Credits

CME credits are awarded upon successful completion of accredited courses. AAISN makes every effort to ensure accuracy but is not responsible for changes in accreditation requirements by licensing boards.

11. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Membership Dues: Membership may be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, benefits remain active through the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for partial periods. Membership dues are payments for services and are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

Event Registration: Event registration fees are refundable up to 30 days prior to the event date, less a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee or applied as credit toward a future AAISN event. No-shows are non-refundable.

CME Courses: Online course purchases are non-refundable once course access has been initiated. If a course has not been accessed, a full refund may be requested within 14 days of purchase.

Donations: Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact info@aaisn.org within 7 days.

12. Tax Status and Nonprofit Status

AAISN is organized as a nonprofit organization and has applied, or may apply, for recognition of exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Unless and until the Internal Revenue Service issues a determination letter recognizing such status, AAISN does not represent that it has already been recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. Unless and until such recognition is granted, AAISN does not represent that contributions are currently deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Potential donors should consult their own tax advisers regarding deductibility.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THIS WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

AAISN MAKES REASONABLE EFFORTS TO PROVIDE ACCURATE AND USEFUL INFORMATION. HOWEVER, AAISN DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT WEBSITE CONTENT IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE. MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE, CLINICAL PRACTICE, TECHNOLOGY, REIMBURSEMENT RULES, AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS MAY CHANGE OVER TIME.

USERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY EVALUATING AND VERIFYING INFORMATION BEFORE RELYING ON IT FOR CLINICAL, LEGAL, TAX, REGULATORY, BUSINESS, OR OPERATIONAL PURPOSES. USE OF THIS WEBSITE IS AT THE USER'S OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AAISN, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:

  • YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS WEBSITE
  • ANY CONTENT, INFORMATION, OR MATERIALS ON THIS WEBSITE
  • ANY ACTIONS TAKEN BASED ON WEBSITE CONTENT
  • ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS OR PERSONAL INFORMATION
  • ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THIS WEBSITE

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF AAISN HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL AAISN'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO AAISN IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AAISN, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the website, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

16. DMCA and Copyright Complaints

If you believe that content on this website infringes your copyright, please contact our designated agent at info@aaisn.org with the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
  • A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on the website
  • Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature

17. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this website shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in King County, Washington. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys' fees. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.

THIS ARBITRATION CLAUSE AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. BY USING THIS WEBSITE, YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION RATHER THAN IN COURT.

18. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the website shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

19. Termination

AAISN may suspend or terminate your access to the website or your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the website ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) shall survive.

20. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

21. Force Majeure

AAISN shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations (including event cancellations, course postponements, or service interruptions) caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, venue failures, speaker cancellations, labor disputes, utility failures, or cyberattacks. In the event of a force majeure affecting a paid event, AAISN will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide credit toward a future event.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and AAISN regarding your use of this website. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
